Vivax Bio logo

Head Of Laboratory: Vivax Bio

VIVAX BIO, LLC, based in New York, and its Moscow, Russia, R&D subsidiary, 3D Bioprinting Solutions, focus on 3D bioprinting and work on the whole range of the hardware, materials, technologies, and products comprising the 3D bioprinting industry. We strongly believe that at this stage of the industry development, the synergistic value of integrating the biological and the engineering sides of our business exceeds the potential advantages of specialization. Our product pipeline – from the earliest stages of R&D to commercial manufacturing – includes 3D bioprinters based on different technologies (consistently rated among the top bioprinters in the world) and various tissue and organ constructs. We had printed a murine thyroid gland construct and successfully implanted it into laboratory animals. The company continues working with human cells creating 3D bioprinted tissues and organoid models for drug discovery and disease modeling as a superior alternative to traditional 2D models. At the end of 2018, our proprietary 3D bioprinter, OrganAut, was launched into space on board the International Space Station and performed formative biofabrication of 3D tissue and organ constructs in microgravity, opening for us, among other things, the opportunity to further expand our business to science (B2S) services. In 2018, we started to adapt our existing technologies for cellular agriculture applications. Framework agreements have been signed with several leading startups in the field of clean meat and now we are to carry out several joint experiments using muscle cells of various species.

Shiok Meats Logo

Multiple Roles: Shiok Meats

Shiok Meats is a cell-based crustacean meat startup, the first of its kind in the world (Shiok in Singapore English means delicious and fantastic). Our mission is to bring cell-based crustaceans to your table, which is health-, animal- and environment-friendly, by growing cells instead of animals. Not only will our seafood and meats be delicious and cruelty-free, they will be nutritious and sustainable when compared to farmed or wild-caught seafood.

Shiok Meats is founded by two well accomplished stem cell scientist-turned entrepreneurs and business women, Dr Sandhya Sriram (CEO) and Dr Ka Yi Ling (CSO) – we are happy to meet you to speak about your career goals, aspirations and how you can grow with us!

Shiok Meats is hiring for several roles as below to further our R&D and accelerate commercialization. We hope that you’re as excited about innovation and cell-based seafood as we are and that you look forward to a vibrant working environment with lots of room to grow. You will be an integral part of Shiok Meat’s growth and will help shape our long-term directions.

Multiple Positions : Terasaki Research Institute

Learn more about Terasaki Research Institute

Our Mission

To invent and foster practical solutions that restores or enhances the health of individuals.

Our Vision

The Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation envisions a world where personalized medicine is available to all. Every person is unique with individual challenges to optimal health, from genetic predisposition to disease to socioeconomic barriers to care. We strive to address those challenges to bridge the gap between sickness and wellness.

The Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation aims to tackle the biggest problems in health. We are focused on solving problems in new ways, developing ‘personalized’ solutions, prototyping tangible solutions, and bringing our innovation to the real-world.

In Pursuit Of Personalized Solutions

We recognize that each individual is unique.  The effort to diagnose, treat and prevent disease is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor.  It requires precision and personalization.

Researchers are making efforts to bringing precision medicine to fruition by collecting omic, environmental, and lifestyle data.  Omics, the umbrella term used to describe the fields of genomics, proteomics, metabolomics and other biological sciences that end with –omics, aims to comprehensively understand the cause of disease.  Data from omic studies may increase our understanding of how individual variability affects the metabolism of drugs, the effectiveness of treatments, and the risks of disease development.

The Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation will use these omics-driven insights to drive the engineering of precise and personalized solutions.  Our goal is to tailor solutions that account for individual variability in a person’s genetic makeup, environment, and lifestyle.

How We Do It

At the Terasaki Institute for Biomedical Innovation, our multidisciplinary teams work as part of a unique convergence ecosystem to quickly translate scientific knowledge into real-world solutions in the clinic.  We focus on the problem first and work our way back to the solution.  Scientists, clinicians, and engineers work in close collaboration to tackle the problem and rapidly build prototypes.  We involve business development and technology transfer experts early on to adapt our innovations for immediate use.
