Faith Fernandes is an intern for 3DHEALS. She is an undergraduate student and Regents & Chancellor’s Honors Scholar at the University of California, Berkeley pursuing a degree in Molecular Cell Biology with a minor in Science, Technology & Society. Faith hopes to go to medical school and is passionate about integrating healthcare and technology to improve patient care. She has a background in robotics and CAD modeling which fostered her interest in 3D-printed devices and prosthetics used in the medical field. As a part of the National Youth Council in the American Red Cross, she’s interested in seeing how 3D printing/bioprinting can help support trauma/burn patients after a disaster and improve emergency medicine.
