Shield Savvy was born from the unprecedented challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Like many Canadian small businesses we thought about ways we could help fight COVID-19. We had some equipment and quickly ordered supplies and re-tooled to kept our 3D printing workshop busy producing PPE (personal protective equipment) face shields for health-care workers and essential front-line workers since coronavirus became more serious and PPE supplies more scarce across Canada and the U.S.
We worked on an innovative solution to use 3D printers to manufacture much needed personal protective equipment, including protective face shield visors. Our goal is to provide a quality product that serves as an added layer of protection for healthcare, front-line workers, service industry employees and anyone experiencing close face-to-face contact.
