CERHUM was founded by Gregory Nolens, who is a veteran in the additive manufacturing industry and has over the last ten years developed additive manufacturing capabilities that are widely recognised. CERHUM stands for Ceramics for Humans and has applied these additive manufacturing capabilities to bioceramics and particularly hydroxyapatite which is a well-known, tried and tested material in the medical world. The company has delivered on several R&D projects to strengthen its understanding of the material and the manufacturing process.
CERHUM has also developed its own product called MyBone. MyBone is unique thanks to the in-house technology used to produce it. The 3D-printing technology used by CERHUM enables to obtain a custom-made bone graft made of hydroxyapatite with a controlled porosity which perfectly fits the patient’s bone defect. It is the combination of the hydroxyapatite, the controlled porosity and the patient’s specific shapes that makes MyBone a unique and solution for bone repair.
We also act as a Medical Device CDMO, providing thousands of parts and development as a subcontractor for big players, mainly in orthopaedic surgeries. Our CDMO activities are both on the development and production aspects for thousands of parts as a subcontractor for large players, mainly in the field of orthopaedics. Our multidisciplinary team of experts manages the entire production process: from raw materials and 3D printing to the final product. We help companies’ model, choose the best material and then manufacture parts, from prototype to series.
